What happens when former members of the mighty band Dissection unite? You get one of the most fierce, crushing, awesome death metal records. Fans of Dissection will like this, fans of death metal will love this. Get it now, the review above is a bogus review and just hurts the whole Amazon rating system.

Yes, this band features members from the well-known DISSECTION!! "Written In Blood" is an essential album for fans of death metal everywhere. There is more 'death' involved here than found in "The Somberlain" for example, which is why I probably enjoy this somewhat differently, if not more, than DISSECTION. Black metal can be great, but death metal I love most. So, buy it now and play it loud!!!!

This was the CD that introduced me to Soul Reaper, even before I ever discovered Dissection. Every song on this CD is a five star rating. I place these guys right up there with Vital Remains, old Morbid Angel, Suffocation and many more. They sound (to me at least) like old Morbid Angel from the Altars of Madness era, mixed with more technicality to the songs. Killer vocals and one hell of a tight band. These guys do not sound sloppy ... anywhere. Don't pass this one up. Check my review for their other CD on Amazon, Liferazer, also a five star Death Metal masterpiece. Cheers,
