Book Description

January 2002
Molly Meyers has lived the last thirty years of her life in the shadow of the memory and words of the man she fell in love with years ago. But the Vietnam War took James Wade from her before they could be married.

A lifelong friend comes to visit Molly, living alone in Montana where she teaches elementary school, for her forty-ninth birthday. While there Stephanie discovers a drawer of love poems written to Molly from James. Later, Stephanie discovers the same poems in a newly published book of poetry by Jonathan Roseland. Could Roseland be James Wade? Could James Wade still be alive?

Molly discovers that James is alive but has lived the past thirty years alone with a terrible secret that has kept him from reuniting with Molly. Can Molly forgive him for the years of silence? Can love be found a second time?

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderfully written, February 1, 2003
This review is from: Written on Her Heart (Hardcover)
I absolutely loved this book, so much so that I'm keeping it on my bookshelf. I find that a lot of Christian writing is cheesy, formulaic, predictable and poorly written. But this is a good romance novel! A little too short but its sentimental and warm without being corny. The characters are a bit elderly but their ones that you grow to love even if your a college student in your twenties. I'd reccomend it to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars good book, January 29, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Written on Her Heart (Hardcover)
I enjoyed this book. It had a sweet message. I thought the plot was realistic. Because I enjoyed this book, I then read Mr. Maki other book: A Choice to Cherish. This book was also good.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointing and unrealistic, May 6, 2009
This review is from: Written on Her Heart (Hardcover)
My title for this review pretty much says it all. The synopsis on the back cover that makes it sound so intriguing is just plain deceiving, in my humble opinion. What mature woman in her right mind would wait until the very last second to leave her home that is in the direct path of a fast moving inferno? The poetry is okay; the rest of it is just plain stupid. I cannot see any value in the far-fetched scenarios in this book and am sorry that I wasted my time and money.
