The novel presents wonderful detail of the Northeast Georgia region which is the setting. It has a great sense of place. It has an intricate plot line that moves the story along. I could not put it down.

Growing up near Elberton and attending UGA, I could follow the story into familiar territory. Martha has such a feel for detail. I loved the surprise ending. I'm proud to say that it's a pleasure having a family member as a brilliant writer. I'm hoping there will be a sequel.

Written on a Rock
I was surprised that a first-effort could be so intriguing and contain such enthralling characters. Martha Phillips managed to get my attention and keep me guessing at the outcome throughout her book, and I thought she had a few very entertaining twists and turns along the way.
