poor, straw-man development,

My heart goes out to the family of the victim. This was something tragic.A woman is stabbed repeatedly and R-O-C is written on the wall in blood. So it's presumed that her ex-BF Rock did it. However, he's quickly cleared and the rest of the episode is about proving that her current BF did it. This wasn't a well-done straw man argument. They only lead you down a surprise path for a minute, then the work just proves that the most obvious suspect is the real killer. I personally oppose the death penalty. However, when viewers hear that the killer did not receive that sentence, especially when the crime took place in the South, they may be livid. This episode may bolster the arguments of those "let-'im-fry!" types. |
