Book Description

Prim and proper art gallery coordinator Elle Walser is no good at seducing men. Heck, she’s been throwing hints at her boss for months, but he’s completely clueless. Desperate to escape her mother’s matchmaking efforts, she comes up with a plan—buy some lingerie and climb into her boss’s bed. The plan goes brilliantly…until she accidentally seduces a sexy stranger instead.

Bad boy nightclub mogul Gabe Schultz just had the best almost-sex of his life. Too bad the smoking hot blonde thought he was his brother and bolted before he could finish what they started. Though her holier-than-thou attitude puts a serious damper his mood, Gabe’s never been one to give up on something he wants. And he wants Elle. But does a man who lives on the dark side really have a chance with a proper lady?

5.0 out of 5 stars Get addicted to bad boys thanks to Brazen... August 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
With a matchmaking mama and a very set idea about what kind of man she needs to marry, Elle Walser isn't usually the seducer type. But she's set her sights on her handsome, successful boss and trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey in ruffled lingerie she crawls into his bed planning to do just that. Just when things get hot she realizes that the man in her boss' bed isn't the one she came there for and gets a mental cold shower of epic proportions.

Gabe Schultz is a man of many talents, yet all Elle sees is his bad boy tattoos. She might have accidentally seduced the wrong Schultz brother but she's in for another surprise as he attempts to make the sexual chemistry the two shared into something more. If only he'd take the hint from her snobbish rebuffs and leave her to recover from her mortification.

Right off the bat I hated Elle. She acted like Gabe wasn't good enough for her and that kind of girl just sets my teeth on edge. But I was really interested to see where the story went and kept reading only to realize as it was almost at an end that somewhere along the journey she had completely lost that without me noticing. Kudos to Robert for pulling off such a subtle and organic change I could believe in it. Gabe may end up being one of my favorite romance heroes ever. I feel really stupid even writing this but he's a lot like the man I'm happily married to and actually a lot like me at the same time so I found him both relatable and attractive. Once Elle's snobbery faded there was a part of her that was actually very relatable too. If you relate to a heroine with an overbearing, this-is-the-way-it-is type of family with big expectations you'll grow to empathize with her.

While there were some elements of the story I found a little random and over-the-top you have to remember this is a category romance title which means those kind of things are to be expected. Gabe owning a bunch of night clubs and running a tattoo shop felt a little bit much when his past is considered though it gets explained away quickly at some point. I couldn't help but be pleased though, that Robert chose to set the story in Spokane (one of the reasons I related to Gabe) versus a stereotypical choice like Seattle.

What you really want to know though is just how Brazen this one gets right? lol As a reader I kind of prefer closed-door love scenes but when I want to read them in detail they better be really darned good. WRONG BED, RIGHT GUY blew (no pun intended) me away with how good they were. If you want some lip-biting, eye-popping, clutching-your-blanket, left-needing-a-cold-shower love scenes this is your book. I will never look at a storage closet the same way again. Just sayin'. That's just my favorite of the bunch... how Robert managed to pack several in without it feeling gratuitious I don't know but I'll be reading anything she puts out in the Brazen imprint after this.

If you need a rainy day read, or maybe one for an afternoon poolside I can't recommend WRONG BED, RIGHT GUY enough for sheer overall enjoyability. If you love bad boy heroes with heart, heroines who need a little saving from themselves, and a steamy smut overload in a story short enough to read in an afternoon you'll love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot --- Hot --- Ahhh SNAPS! August 21, 2012

Wrong Bed, Right Guy
Well --- So long sweet, hot, and steamy summer--- To end my wonderful summer, I filled my time with a fabulous little story about Elle and Gabe!
Thank you Darkfallen for the recommendation! It was well worth it! And thank you- of course- Katee Roberts for writing a fantastic contemporary romance novel!
Here we go! This story grabbed my attention immediately! Within the first few pages we were introduced to Elle who is attempting to seduce her boss Nathan, and boy oh boy, does everything go to hell in a hand basket! This book had limited bullshit. The author did a fabulous job of not pissing me off. As of late I have had a difficult time dealing with stupid females and Elle, although she had her moments, never dwelled too long on her own stupidity.
No ridiculous love triangles! And although there were secondary characters, such as, Nathan (Gabe's brother and Elle's boss) and Roxanne (Elle's bff), the story was all about Elle letting go and Gabe becoming the man he has always wanted to be.
Hot - Steamy - and yes there is actually a storyline! Beyond that --- I laughed so hard!!!!! The humor is this book is amazin! I want more! I am not going to lie ... I need more--- I need to know what happens next and YOU need to know what happens first... So, go ahead --- buy the book and love it as much as I did...
Ughh--- Gabe... Nuff said.

5.0 out of 5 stars My tongue AND my brain flopped out from the sexy August 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Let's all open our minds a little bit and take a trip down the road to when romance tropes were gloriously heartfelt, slightly cheesy but oh so sexy. Keep skipping down the path and you will smack head first into the brick wall of awesome that was 'Wrong Bed, Right Guy'.

I read this book twice. Twice, I say! Why, you ask? Well, wise consumer, I shall tell you. Because this book was everything that a 'Bad boy/ Good girl' romance SHOULD be.

I'm a huge proponent of the notion that not only do opposites attract, but they keep a flame burning through a relationship. I am also a believer that you can meet someone and instantly know that that person was made for you. Hell, my husband is a deer-hunting country boy and I'm a Shakespeare-loving over-read hippie/goth mash-up. Our first date was a Saturday and the following Wednesday he asked me to marry him. Still together and it's still first-date hot. Why do I divulge such detail?

Because the chemistry between Gabe and Elle in this story lit up my Kindle.

Gabe is a tattoo artist and an incredibly savvy businessman. What I loved the most about him - aside from the smexy ink and the fact that Katee Robert said he looks like Tom Hardy - was the fact that despite his success and the laid back bravado, he admitted that he was lonely. Now, I love an Alpha male, but what I adore far more than a ruggedly broken Alpha is the Alpha that can admit that he is human. Gabe totally did that for me. He WAS the definitive gruff teddy bear and it made me swoon...HARD.

And poor Elle. A goody-two shoes girlie girl that was ruled, not by her own will or what the primal beating of her heart told her, but ultimately governed by what her mother would think. I've known a few people who've had this problem and I did a bit of a victory cheer when she said EFF THIS and followed her heart. Watching her fight against it was painful, but real. It was REAL. Her emotionalism and over-reaction at times? Real. The fact that when she looked at Gabe she acknowledged that her libido went into nuclear overdrive and threatened to shut down the entire power grid? Yeah, totally real.

I loved this book for several reasons. The love scenes were sexy. They started with that slow flicker of a flame and then built into a roaring fire. And OH EM GEE, Gabe is the most attentive and dare I say it, unselfish lover. Kudos, Gabe! The relationship between them was not a rocket HEA, but you could see that it was headed there and that was awesome. Elle's ability to let the bug in her ass die and see Gabe for the good man he was? Brilliant.

My one complaint is that I totally wanted her to tell her mother off. I realize we are supposed to honor our parents, but the way that woman talked to her made me cringe. but even that complaint doesn't take away the fact that I loved this book!

More About the Author

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa's knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way--as it often does--and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she'd like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn't want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time--when not lost in Far Reach worlds--playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
