Wu Style Taijiquan,
By
This review is from: Wu Style Taijiquan (Paperback)
I find this book to be an important library addition. The authors have broken down the philosophy and the postures in Wu Stye Taiji to their combat elements, and include sketches and descriptions of what each posture is intende to accomplish in self defense.
This is a much needed complement to instruction, but does not replace instruction by a competent master. I highly recommend this book to those in Taiji who understand that Taijiquan is, fundamentally, a fighting art, with significant health benefits.

This is a classic! Shows martial arts applications of Tai Chi using drawings, (more clarity than photos) sequentially with drawings/descriptions of martial artist Wang Peisheng's personal 36 posture Wu Tai chi form. I ordered this from an Amazon marketplace seller, I think it is long out of print and the book I got was published in Hong Kong.

I have two copies of this book because I love it so much, and consider Master Peisheng to be one of the last masters of Wu Tai Chi. I have leaned the complete form from this book and from Master Peisheng video on youtube. This is one of the most valuable martial arts book out there, period.
