Is it tough convincing your toddler to take naps? If so, you'll want to share this fun and educational video with them. Dr. Seuss characters portrayed by Jim Henson's Muppets are an unbeatable combination in this two part episode for 2- to 5-year-olds. In the first episode, the Cat in the Hat explains to an obstinate bird why it's important to take naps. The sleepy bird still isn't convinced, insisting, "I'm a bird, not a cat! Birds don't take cat naps!" The Cat explains that naps give us energy to play, shows how much fun it is to dream, and tells stories about animals that nap. After the bird finally falls asleep he wakes up with a lot more "zip."

The second episode teaches kids games like pretending, dancing, and putting puzzles together. The characters are fun and colorful, and kids will enjoy watching the whimsical expressions on the Muppets as they talk and play together. They'll also like singing and dancing along with the characters, and may even pick up some spelling tips! --Elisabeth Keating

From the geniuses at Jim Henson Productions, the "Wubbulous" world of Dr. Seuss comes to life in "Muppet" version! This video is divided into two separate episodes: "The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap" and "Cat's Play" It's got everything the books have, such as rhymes, games and funny characters. It even has something the books don't: Music! There are appearances by some of the best known characters in the good doctor's books: The Cat in the Hat; Little Cat ("I Can Read with My Eyes Shut"); Morton ("Horton Hatches the Egg"); The Grinch and Sam I Am ("Green Eggs and Ham"), who are joined by lot's of new characters. A movie children all of ages can enjoy! Also recommend Volume II.
