From a preschool perspective, this series is superb. The songs are catchy, the stories are fun, but most of all, The Cat in the Hat is so entertaining. My 3 year old can't get enough! From an adult perspective, this series is also superb. The Cat is so likeable, you'll be hooked, too. Like many Henson productions, the Wubbulous World is aware that adults are watching too, but it lacks the pop references that are often present and detract from the focus on children. This isn't just muppets,it is Dr. Seuss come to life!

In this volume, the Cat in the Hat builds, with much enthusiasm, a door-a-matic. There's help from the little cats and scepticism from Lester the bird (the Cat's foil in all these stories). What was key for me was that he invents just for the sake of the challenge, offering a positive message of being creative just of the sake of creativity. The enthusiasm for life and creativity that defines the Cat in the Hat in these videos makes me want to keep him around the house!
