Unknown in North America, Wunderland is a re-issue of the best record from Germany’s Pyrolator. Kurt "Pyrolator" Dahlke was an artist who worked during the early electro-pop days of the 1980's.

Pyrolator incorporates sparse use of early 1980’s electronics with a straight forward melodic sense resulting in music which is timeless, child-like and always uncluttered. Dahlke's strong compositional sense helped him avoid falling prey to the low-tech sounds and disposable attitudes of the artists and equipment of his day.

Dahlke’s best music signaled a new minimalist esthetic after the grand outbursts of early Germany’s Krautrock in the early 1970’s.

Wunderland is essential listening and the best work of an unheralded music visionary. Dahlke released four solo-albums on Ata Tak through the 1980's. He also worked as a member of Der Plan and as a producer on many other products. Ata Tak has re-issued his best work; Wunderland, and are planning re-releases of all his early works on CD...
