Peter Alexander is a German singer (actually, I believe he is Austrian) in the mold of Andy Williams, Perry Como and Tony Bennett. He has a rich, full voice. This CD is one of his best "Weihnacht" (Christmas) efforts. The engineering is superb. The vinyl release included the words to all the songs. Don't know if the CD offers the same. This one is a keeper.

I used to own this years ago on 8 track and played it until it died. I grew up listening to Peter and being 1st generation German, this album has all the songs that 'meine Mutter' listened to and so did we. Peter truly has wonderful voice. So Bayrisch!

This is a great CD, sure to put you in the Christmas spirit!
My husband grew up with this music from his mother and now it has become a part of our Christmas tradition.

Listening to this CD ensures that a smile will appear on my face and stay there throughout the entire CD. The songs are done in a delightful combination of children's choir alternating with Peter Alexander. The happiness in the children's sounds, in combination with the relaxing tones of Peter Alexander himself, make this the perfect CD to rekindle the Christmas spirit and, if you are lucky enough to have visited the Germanic countries, the nostalgia of happy vacations.

I was so happy to find this CD. I hace a cassette tape of this wonderful singer and the German songs of the season. It is my favorite CD!

If you can find it buy it. You won't be sorry. As the reviewer "A Customer" quoted; Peter is in the style of Perry Como and Andy Williams. The music, the melodies and the whole construction of the album is top notch. If you enjoy German Christmas music for the family you must and you need to get this album.
