Three radically different approches to the string quartet: includes the first recording of Wuorinen's SECOND STRING QUARTET, Wayne Peterson's String Quartet No. 1 (one of the few existing recordings of this Pulitzer Prize winner) and British composer Jonathan Harvey's mysterious String Quartet No. 1. Hartily recommended to anyone interested in new music.
