The Lighter side of music,
By Bruce Felger (Oak Harbor, WA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Wurst of P.D.Q. Bach (Audio CD)
Irreverent, amusing, out right hilarious. P. D. Q. Bach is to classical music, what Weird Al is to Pop. The more you know about the classics, or just about music, the more you realize the genius that Peter Schickele brings to the album. this collection of his "classics" will regale you with such things as a play by play of Beethovens Symphony in C (the fifth, you know), the master Oratorio the Seasonings, and my personal favorite, the Schleptet in e flat major s. 8. Don't expect to come away from this album without a smile on your face. the things he does to music would shame a lessor man. Take it enjoy it. your appreciation of music will never be the same.
