Wusthof's Classic Line of forged German Knives is the benchmark for craftsmanship, usability, design and function among knife companies. Not so acute that they need to be re-sharpened after every use, yet not so obtuse that they can't cut paper, at 22 degrees these knives are razor sharp yet beveled enough to hold a lasting edge. The triple-riveted handle is renowned for both its durability, comfort and timeless aesthetics. Like all Wusthof knives, the classic line is still made in Germany in what is one of the few surviving family-owned factories. Each knife carries a lifetime warranty. Unlike other knives, the 8-inch deli knife features an off-set handle so the blade actually makes it through without your knuckles hitting the board. The reverse serrated blade cleanly slices without tearing. Wusthof definitely had deli-workers in mind when they made this; those brave soles that cut mile-high pastrami on ryes, time and again.
