Amazon.com Review
As beautiful as they are functional, the steak knives in this four-piece set beg for an elegant dinner of tenderloin steak or grilled lamb chops. Part of the Culinar series, a recent design addition (1999) to Wüsthof's family of cutlery, these contemporary-looking knives have blades constructed of the perfect balance of high-carbon stainless steel for strength and longer edge retention. The stain-resistant blades are hand forged and hand honed and then laser-ground and polished from tip to bolster to ensure precision slicing. These steak knives have an extraordinary heft for small knives, owing to Wüsthof's signature weighted bolster. Full tangs extend through the knives' sleek 18/10 satin-finish stainless-steel handles and are seamlessly encased so that the knives appear to be constructed of a single piece of metal. The knives come packaged in a velvet-lined wooden presentation box with a mahogany stain. This set is perfect as a generous wedding gift.

Product Description
Steak is better when its cut with a Wusthof Culinar steak knife. These steak knives are razor sharp and cut clean without tearing this makes for a more flavorful steak as the juices are left in the meat. The Wusthof Culinar brush stainless handle design is combined with a contoured shape to add comfort and control. Located in The Cutlery Capital of the World, Solingen Germany, the Wusthof factory history goes back as far as 1814 when the company was listed with the Duchy of Berg. To this day, the company remains family owned. Throughout it’s history, Wusthof has focused almost solely on the manufacturing of forged knives for the professional chef and home cooking enthusiast. Wusthof uses a special blend of German steel through out the whole length of the knife. The ingredients of this steel are proudly etched on each blade. Wusthof not only uses the best materials to make a fine knife, but it is also crucial that each blade is precisely tempered. This tempering allows the knife to hold its edge for an extremely long time, yet still be able to be maintained in your home kitchen with out the need to be sent away for maintenance. Our unique compound angle is not seen in many knives. This angle tapers from the spine of the knife to the edge to allow for a sturdy, yet extremely sharp edge while it also tapers from the bolster to the tip to give the knife strength as well as flexibility.
