Amazon.com Review
Elegant satin-finish handles sculpted from 18/10 stainless steel distinguish Culinar knives from Wüsthof's other cutlery lines. Otherwise Culinar knives embody all the virtues of other Wüsthof knives that have earned the German manufacturer world renown. The principal parts of a Wüsthof knife--blade, bolster, and tang--are forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel, and the blade is precisely tapered from bolster to tip and from back to hand-honed edge. Blades and beautifully formed bolsters are not as thick as some knives'. As a result, despite their heft, strength, and durability, Wüsthof knives are pleasingly delicate and marvelously balanced in action. With extra-large serrations, this 9-inch bread knife grabs hold of the biggest crusty loaf (or a bagel) and slices right through it. Like all fine knives, this bread knife should be hand washed.

Product Description
Only a blade with a serrated edge slices effortlessly through crispy baguettes, crunchy bread, and even crusty roasts. The precision forged blade, bolster, and tang are married to a hand-sculpted handle of the finest 18/10 stainless steel with an elegant satin finish.
Wüsthof knives offer a harmonious blend of precision cutting performance, integrity of materials, safety, and comfort. The knife is hot-drop forged by hand from a single blank of high carbon no-stain steel, a specially alloyed surgical steel consisting of exacting proportions of carbon, chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium. The blade is perfectly tapered from bolster to tip, and from the back of the blade to the edge, and is honed by hand. Perfect balance is assured by the full extension of the tang through the length of the handle. A seamless fit at the bolster prevents food particles from entering.
