They cut masterfully. The mid-sized slicer is more useful than you would think. The chef's knife is superb. The paring knife is a little odd if you are used to other knives, but is good once you get used to it.

These knifes were purchased as holiday gift for my wife. I read several reviews of other knifes stating "just as good as a Wusthof". That's usually clue to purchase the original item. The 3 Wusthof knifes I bought feel like quality items and cut sharp with little effort - even my daughter commented how well balanced the knives felt when used. After using her new Wusthofs, my wife went through and culled out our older knifes, most stamped "Made in China". At this point in my life, I can afford to pay more for quality and I am very satisfied with my Wusthof purchase.

I wanted to get my friend/colleague a new chef's knife for his birthday. Amazon had this set on sale and I got three knives for the price of one. I've seen reviews saying that the handles are plastic and seem cheap, I disagree they are very nice in the hand(I kept the other two.lol). My colleague loves his chef knife. We work backstage catering and the knives get a workout . I own other wusthoff knives and they are the favorites in my kit.

These knives were recommended when we took a cooking class given by the Executive Chef from a local casino resort. They are truly professional knives that will last a lifetime. They are extremely well made and are cost effective over time when compared to the dozens of cheap knives I've had over the years. We strongly recommend them for serious cooks.

OK, maybe great knives don't really change lives but they have changed the way I feel about food preparation. These knives are easy to hold and make cutting, chopping and mundane food preparation so much easier. These are a great investment for your kitchen. I could not find this small set at local culinary stores and did not need the sets with a larger number of knives. I am so glad Amazon had the perfect offering!

These are good knives -they will provide solid performance in the standard kitchen. They will not hold an edge if compared to Global or Shun knives, but for those who don't mind sharpening and who actually enjoy taking care of their cutlery, they are quite adequate. An added advantage is that they will feel comfortable for those with largish hands, as compared to most Japanese knives.

My girl bought this knife set wanting to upgrade from the regular cheap knives we've been using. and of course, me being the "we dont need them" type of guy was opposed to it. needless to say, i lost that battle but i couldnt be happier. she was right all along and these knives make me feel like a chef in the kitchen. by no means am i a chef and im no expert in quality knives but if these are the standard im glad i converted. they have a nice light feel which i prefer and you hardly need any weight to slice thru whatever it is you want to cut. i've chopped/sliced/diced vegetables and fruits so far and it felt like slicing thru butter. great product!

These knives are top of the line - once you use them, nothing else will do.

These knives are beautifully crafted. They have quickly become our favorites and were used a great deal during all the holiday cooking. The order arrived very quickly.
