The Wusthof Ikon knife and scissor sharper features cross diamond rods and ceramic stones that combined in stages to bring your knife to razor sharpness. The sturdy cast aluminum housing is stable and durable. The Ceramic honing stage can also be used to deburr serrated knives. It does a very good job of sharpening my knives when I'm prepping or carving. I needed something that was handy and efficient. It sets up well with good balance and does the job better than most of my former sharpeners. A nice edge on the blade with a minimum of effort. If one looking for a quick and excellent sharpening device this is an excellent choice

Excellent sharpener
I use this sharpener to keep my Wusthof knives sharp after use. It does a great job. You don't have to use excessive pressure, just light contact and keep the knife at 90 degrees. Read more

Underwhelming
Very unimpressive. Just wasted $50. After 900 strokes on the coarse stones no noticible improvement in sharpness of a moderately dull (not abused) blade. Read more

Not a good sharpener
This sharpener wore out after the first couple of uses (yes I have rotated the diamond coated coarse blocks). You may be able to get more life from it by replacing the blocks. Read more

Works O.K.
This is a good product for keeping your knives sharp, but if they are dull, you may want to invest in an electric knife sharpener or get them sharpened professionally.

Does get job done
This Wusthof sharpner was bought because of set of knives from same brand. If you are not sure about how to sharpen knives or scissor this is perfect.
