Book Description

January 1, 1998
Little has been written about Wyatt Earp after Tombstone and the shootout at the OK Corral. Wyatt Earp-The Missing Years fills that void. Wyatt inspired and created adventures for men who thrived on excitment and thrill-seeking. Because of his supreme self-confidence and almost total lack of fear, Wyatt conquered life on the Western frontier. Whether enforcing the law, controlling gambling and refereeing fights in Tijuana, running saloons in Nome, Alaska, and San Diego, or prospecting throughout the West, Wyatt Earp was a remarkable man admired by his peers and who lives on today as a legend in his own right.

5.0 out of 5 stars It fills in the gaps of Wyatt Earp's life, October 25, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Wyatt Earp: The Missing Years: San Diego in the 1880's (Mass Market Paperback)
This chronicle of Wyatt Earp's life details the years Earp and his wife spent in San Diego. The author supplies the reader with, until now, unknown facts and photos of Earp's life in southern California, specifically San Diego. The photos -- including gambling halls, hotels, homes and mines -- are wonderful new pieces to the puzzle. Well worth the read.
