I am a Homeschool mom and we are studying the West at this time. The "Best of the West Biographies" are absolutely wonderful. My kids, ages 7yr & 11yr, don't want to put them down. My husband even read through them, and he hates to read! They are true and very easily read with great pictures. Elaine Landau lets you know fact from fiction, she also tells you when no one knows for sure what happened. She does a very thorough job. We checked them out at the library, but I am buying them as gifts for my children, they loved them so much. We checked out other books, but these were by far the best. Each book is about 42 pages and divided into 6 chapters. I highly recommend this series!

I was looking for a book for my 10 yr old son for a biography reprt. I had a hard time finding literature that was for his reading level. This book was perfect. Full of information and pictures and he loved reading it.
