I have found this book to be a very good source to find answers to questions that pop up from time to time when reading scriptures. It is not easy reading, but as long as you don't let the "big" words intimidate you, you will find it a very useful tool. If they had made the book larger, with larger print and possibly less pages (it is very bulky), I would have given it 5 stars. From time to time, I have come across tidbits of information that my pastor appreciated learning as it did make some scriptures more understandable, i.e. why God set the rule that a goat should not be boiled in its mother's milk - if you want the answer, buy the book! I have given this book as gifts to others, like me, who have had no special training in theology, but want to "eat the meat" and they have also found this book to be very helpful.

The print quality of this book was horrible. A majority of the pictures in the book were not legibile because of the poor print quality.

This is an excellent book for serious Bible study. It will enlighten a Sunday school teacher, the minister, and the person that opened the Holy Bible for the first time. This is a great book. It doent only give definitions but explanations to the words or topic that you have questions about.

This is the fourth Wycliffe Bible Dictionary of this type I have purchased through the years. I bought one for myself, and bought three for gifts to family members, whom I knew where serious about their study of the Holy Scriptures. This Bible Dictionary's cost is very economical, especially when you consider the wealth of information it contains.I would highly recommend it to all those who are interested in increasing their understanding of God's Word.

This book has been a great recource for providing accurate information on everything thats in the bible. It's a great companion to have for any bible study and will captivate the serious person who is searching for detailed biblical history as well as the person who just wants to learn more about people in the bible. I keep it near my bible and refer to it constantly for in depth information on all things that are written from Gods word.

Along with my NIV concordance, the Wycliffe Bible Dictionary is my most used Biblical resource. I've given it as gifts. The WBD notes every place an object, person, place, whatever, appears in the Bible. It gives alternate thoughts about the subject. A must have.
