adria,beware,
This review is from: Wyndspelle (Mass Market Paperback)
it is 1720,adria turner works as a servant. she is falsely accused of being a witch. she runs away and seeks shelter at forbidding wyndspelle-the house of a rich man(a man the townspeople are afraid of). THAT NIGHT(!),the blind master of the house, sir anthony mordelle MARRIES adria(after she is drugged up). what does anthony want with adria? is she in danger?
although the story was interesting,it lacks that certain something. i kept wishing for adria to have some great, heart throbbing romance with the mysterious sir anthony. instead, adria is smitten with mark welles,a man who works for sir anthony. by the end of the book, the reader knows that adria put her trust in the wrong person. |
