Book Description

If you enjoy reading about strong women and the men who love them,
you’ll love the acclaimed Wyoming Wildflowers trilogy – now available as a boxed set.

Wyoming Wildflowers Trilogy
Book 1 -- Almost a Bride (Indian Paintbrush)
Book 2 -- Match Made in Wyoming (Fireweed)
Book 3 -- My Heart Remembers (Bur Marigold)

Wildflowers have to be strong and resilient to bloom amid the rugged beauty of Wyoming – and so do the women.

Dave Currick was everything Matty Brennan wanted for as along as she could remember. Right up until he broke her heart six years ago. Now that she’s returned to Wyoming for good, what she wants more than anything is to save her family’s ranch. Even if that means swallowing her pride and asking Dave to marry her.

Matty’s up to something – Dave knows that much. Just as he knows that Matty needs help, so of course he’ll provide it. Doing what’s best for Matty is second nature. Even when it comes to marrying her in name only. Although he can’t resist one hot-blooded kiss after the I-dos -- a kiss as fiery as the flame-red Indian Paintbrush that's always reminded him of Matty.

Maybe – just maybe – his Matty will become more to him than Almost a Bride.

When fire ravages Wyoming land, fireweed is among the first plants to return, brightening the blighted area with the joy of its blooms. Can Taylor Anne Larsen pull off a similar miracle for the pain-ravaged heart and disbelieving soul of ranch foreman Cal Ruskoff? Armed with the same grace and grit as the wildflower fireweed, Taylor also has allies – a matchmaking friend, the Wyoming winter, high-octane mutual attraction, and a rescued puppy who slips past Cal's defenses.

Cal might give in to passion temporarily, but from behind the wall he's built around his past and his secrets, he's certain Taylor is all that he can't let himself have. And he'll use all his weapons to keep her out.

Lisa Currick was once as bright and open as the sunny Bur Marigold wildflower of her native Wyoming. That’s how New York City Detective Shane Garrison has remembered her since she figured in his first investigation eight years ago. But when he arrives in her hometown determined to resolve the final element of that case, he discovers the girl he's remembered has become a very different woman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wyoming Wildflowers Trilogy Boxed Set (3 Books in 1) October 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was really nice to be able to go from one book to the next so the story lines were contiguous. I really enjoyed McLinn's writing style to the point that it was hard to put the book down. The information about the wildflowers that was given as part of the characters' personality was also really interesting. Her imagery and use of descriptors made it easy for me to visualize the events and characters as I read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wyoming Wildflowers Trilogy Boxed Set October 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this trilogy and bought a few additional books by this author because of it. She doesn't keep repeating herself like several authors do, such as Daniel Steele.

4.0 out of 5 stars I liked these books ok. February 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
These books have quite a bit of detailed intimacy in them. I would rather not have that, but someone else might. I just wanted to mention it in case you are like me and would rather not read that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wyoming Wildflowers Trilogy December 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Love, love, loved them. Well written, wonderful characters with the most realistic, flowing dialog I've read in a long time. I couldn't stop reading, staying up way too late every night losing track of time. I would recommend wholeheartedly and will look for more books by Patricia McLinn. Thanks for a great experience.

More About the Author

I'm most proud that my readers say my books blend "laughter and tears" with characters who "live and breathe." Those elements, along with a dash of humor, unite my 30+ romance, women's fiction, and mystery titles. I'm especially grateful to my readers for multiple visits to the USA Today list in 2013.

I had a great childhood, though I ran away from home - heading for Hollywood. Alas, Dairy Queen came before the train station, depleting my capital and preventing my becoming the only Oscar-winning screenwriter under 10. Instead, I received BA & MSJ degrees at Northwestern, then became a sportswriter. That training in dialogue, character, motivation, conflict shows in Winter Olympic-set romance THE GAMES, "a gold-medal winner."

Journalism took me from Rockford, Ill., to Charlotte, N.C., then 20+ years editing at the Washington Post. Journalism shows up in my mystery series, "Caught Dead in Wyoming," starting with SIGN OFF and LEFT HANGING. Elizabeth Margaret Danniher's high-flying TV news reporter career crash-lands in tiny KWMT in Sherman, Wyoming. As she tries to find her way in a new life, she is drawn into mysteries...and into the lives of 2 very different men.

I'm now in Northern Kentucky, writing full-time. You'll find me at, and hanging around social media, especially Twitter and Facebook - feel free to tell me to get back to writing.
