This review is from: Wyrdwalkers: Techniques of Northern-Tradition Shamanism (Paperback)
One of a series of books on Northern Tradition Paganism (as opposed to Asatru and other Reconstructionist religions,) this book is geared towards those interested in learning of Northern Tradition Shamanism. It offers enough information to satisfy those who just want to understand the concepts and practices involved, but also could be viewed as a how-to manual for serious students. Unlike the many "instant witch" books I have seen, this book warns readers of the difficulties and dangers of a path meant only for those called to it.
Like all of Raven Kaldera's books that I have read so far, the style and subject draws the reader in to the point where it is difficult to put the book down. It's like an afternoon visit too soon ended, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

This book is the only book on Northern Tradition Shamanism that I have found. After reading the Jotunbok I immediately went out and bought the rest. This will not replace being spirit taught but will give you a leg up. The book is well written and thorough. Other than some minor editing issues this is a great book. I highly recommend it.
