This book gave me a greater appreciation for the work that went into...

This book gave me a greater appreciation for the work that went into designing today's email systems. Anyone who wants to consider themselves an email expert needs to understand the heritage to fully understand why email is the way it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where has this book been the last three years!!!, August 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: X.400 and SMTP: Battle of the E-mail Protocols (Paperback)
I have been looking for a book on X.400 and SMTP for years. I don't know where this one has been hiding but am I glad I found it!

It describes everything I wanted to know about the two approaches without going into unnecessary detail.

If you are working with an e-mail system (like Exchange) that uses both connection types this book is for you.
