I purchased this sharpener because I was tired of the antiquated hand crank model I have at home as well as the electric model used at work which was excessively slow, loud and usually broke the pencil lead.

The X-Acto 16765 Mini standup battery operated pencil sharpener works perfectly! It produces pin point sharpness in just a few seconds, and the point is centered (compared to some sharpeners that are off center to where one side of the point is wood- I hate when that happens!).

This unit is small, compact, extreemly easy to use, very effective, and inexpensive. Gee, what more could one ask for in a pencil sharpener? The shavings container pops off with little effort for emptying, and snaps on securely so that dust and shavings aren't leaking out and dirtying your desk.

I was so impressed by it's stellar performance the first time I used it that I went in search of other pencils to sharpen. Yeah! No more dull, broken lead, or off center pencils!

So go ahead, buy it, no doubt you'll be pleased!

This is essentially a .39 cent plastic manual pencil sharpener on a battery powered shaft. It didn't last one day at our house. Bought a Panasonic KP-380 and love it!

The sharpener was disappointing. It worked for a few sharpenings but then pencils got stuck and now it sharpener jagged. can't use it anymore
