I cut a lot of leather using my craft knife and I have found that the sharper blades are more reliable, less dangerous, and far more enjoyable to use. I have been buying the normal x-acto blades for a long time but I bought these on a whim.

The X-life blades are scalpel-sharp and hold their edge longer than the standard X-acto blades. These X-life blades have an anti-rust coating in case you use a single blade long enough for it to rust... this is a feature of questionable usefulness but is mostly harmless.

If there's anything I don't like about this product it's the packaging. The blades inside the plastic package are wrapped in paper and are naked. Be careful when opening the paper and it'll be fine. I would have preferred to see a protective sleeve over the blades or something but it's probably not necessary.

I just ordered these and didn't receive the box pictured. Instead, I got X-Life blades. This is important because I bought X-Life blades once before because I thought they would be better. I do a lot of papercraft, and I thought these would stay sharp longer. They don't!

Instead, I find that these are initially sharper than normal blades, but dull much more quickly.

I'll admit I'm a little rough on blades, but the standard blades stood up to my abuse better.

I gave them 4 stars because they are very sharp, and are decent blades, but I think the standard blades are better.

These blades are sharp as scalpels. I don't sharpen used blades because I cut really hard materials that chip the blades beyond repair. X-acto blades are stronger and last longer than third-party knock-offs.

They are x-acto blades, sharp and small. It will take me a while to use them all. Until I finish, there they sit, on my desk while I cut some stuff.

This is a great value. This bulk pack comes to just about a quarter per blade. Whenever I feel that the blade is not sharp enough, I simply replace it without even thinking about how long the sharpness lasted.

I was a little disappointed. They are of higher quality, which was wthat I was looking for, but, in all actuality, they did not last longer than the generic brand I ordered previously. And, most disappointing, the tip was definitely not as sharp. I build paper models as a hobby and I use the tip to pick up and manipulate very small pieces and these just could not do it. I imagine for standard paper working, they would work fine, but not for what I need.

When I made my purchase, the pricing at the distributor's website was misleading. Later, after discussing this mater with their customer service, the website was changed for clarification.

These are as sharp, if not sharper, than any other X-acto blades I have ever used and they definitely hold their edge longer than most. This is a fantastic value and will last me a long time.

These blades come with an anti-rust coating that makes them impressive looking, compared side-by-side with normal X-Acto blades. They're as sharp and high-quality as the brand has come to be known for, and you can't beat this bulk pack for price. I was a bit worried before purchasing these that the coating would rub off, or by oily, but I've had nothing but good luck with using these blades for delicate, white and lightly colored papercraft projects. Blades were exactly as shown and advertised. Quick shipping and the price was just right. Sometimes difficult to find things I need on the island, so rely on Amazon a lot. They do a great job.
