This review is from: X-Factor Visionaries - Peter David, Vol. 4 (X-Men) (v. 4) (Paperback)
I'don't like crossovers because it distract u from the book original prespective. This book begins with 3 chapters of x-cutioners'song. if you want to read it complete, buy the x-cutioner's song book. This book don't leave you in the air and tells you what happens in the rest of the crossover.
The rest of the book is well named X-Factor Visionaries - Peter David. x-aminations is clever, funny and well written. That chapter stand by my definition of a great comic-book. The next two stories are good too. Not great because they are leading to a story that David couldn't finish. The book ends with another jewel. The annual sotry that is really funny. If tou see the whole picture you have 3 chapters of a crossover, 2 chapters of a non finished by David story and two great hall-of-fame-type stories. Peter David is a master storyteller. In my opinion belongs above morrison anda miller, and stand side by side with Stan Lee and Byrne. I recommend also X-Factor Visionaries: Peter David, Vol. 3 (X-Men) (v. 3) and of course Incredible Hulk Visionaries - Peter David, Vol. 5 (v. 5)and the books to come

This review is from: X-Factor Visionaries - Peter David, Vol. 4 (X-Men) (v. 4) (Paperback)
My big problem with most x-books is that I don't read all of them obsessively, so I can't figure what is going on in the story. No such problem here! Peter David's X-Factor is on the periphery of the x-universe, so you don't really have to know about it. I'm sure it helps provide a richer experience, but his comic has so much depth, characterization, humor, and passion that you don't need it.
I suggest reading every X-Factor book he's ever written. They just get better and better. |
