This review is from: X-Men: Bizarre Love Triangle (Paperback)
This is my favorite kind of X-Men story - the kind that eschews big, beefy brawls for heartfelt character interaction and unabashed melodrama.

The plot? A new student, Foxx, has arrived at Xavier's Academy, and she's out to seduce her already-romantically-attached teacher, Gambit. As longtime X-fans already know, Gambit is in madly love with Rogue, whose mutant 'absorption' ability prevents her from touching (or even kissing!) anyone for fear of killing them. Can you see where this is going? Yes, the Foxxy little Lolita causes quite a bit of drama between Gambit and Rogue, and when she finally reveals her big secret at the end of chapter two, it threatens to tear the two longtime lovers apart forever. Add to this a sub-plot involving Havok's well-meaning but unintentionally damaging attempts to reconnect with his ex, Lorna Dane, and you've got an X-Men graphic novel whose two main themes are the selfish nature of love and the many ways we hurt the ones we love...simply by trying to help them. Good stuff. (And highly relatable!)
