Well, this is a great book like my title says but, it's come at a really bad time when Pat Lee is the hot topic amid accusations of scandal and the bankruptcy of his once prominent company Dreamwave. As many people already know, there's quite a bit of problems going on between Pat Lee and his former Dreamwave staff members and freelancers and it's a shame that this book has come out at such a time, possibly hurting the integrity of this book. The storyline is typical action fare and makes for a great vehicle for Pat Lee's artwork, showing off both the FF and the X-Men in a very cool anime inspired style. The storyline, although pretty short and to the point, has some pretty cool twists. The FF and the X-Men choose six members out of the group to investigate the explosion at the Simulacra space station which has rendered communication inert and left the fate of the crew of the station and the Mars lander in question. White Queen, Nightcrawler, Gambit, the Thing, the Invisible Woman and Wolverine travel to the space station where they are attacked by the alien Brood. The Brood attempt to invade Earth and take over all life. But, Reed Richards makes what could be a fatal error in sending the crew to the space station when a cosmic storm of the same nature that gave the Fantastic Four their powers to begin with, ends up wreaking havoc in the vicinity of the space station. During the group's attempted escape of the station in a Shi-Ar enhanced Blackbird X-Jet, the four members of the X-Men are given the powers of the Fantastic Four on top of their original powers and driven temporarily mad, leaving the remaining members Cyclops, Storm, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, Thing, Mr. Fantastic and Beast to fight off Wolverine (given the powers of Mr. Fantastic), Nightcrawler (given the powers of the Invisible Woman), Gambit (given the powers of the Human Torch) and White Queen (given the powers of the Thing) all the while fighting off the Brood invasion. All in all, a cool book with some nice (if a bit sloppy) artwork and a fun action story that involves some of the coolest marvel characters around.

It's a wonder why Marvel keeps giving Akira Yoshida work. Besides his travesty "re-working" of the classic X-Men Age of Apocalypse storyline, Yoshida scripted this team up of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Apparently, there's trouble in space with the Brood, and the FF need the X-Men's help to deal with it, resulting in a space trip with the Thing, Invisible Woman, Wolverine, Emma Frost, Nightcrawler, and Gambit in tow. Upon re-entry into Earth's atmosphere, the four X-Men are transformed with new powers similar to that of the FF, and they all begin to go insane. The plot is non-existant enough, but Yoshida's dialogue is atrocious. Beloved characters like Nightcrawler and Gambit either become annoying or don't say much at all, while the art by Pat Lee and the bankrupt Dreamwave Studios (that's another story) is overrated to say the least. The characters look clunky and sloppyily designed, but I've never been much of a fan of Lee's, so others may dig it. All in all, X-Men/Fantastic Four isn't even worth checking out for fans of either team book, and this is much better left on the shelf.

Los dibujos no estuvieron a lo que nos acostumbra Marvel, por otra parte la historia es buena e interesante pero muy corta... Sería genial una segunda parte con otro dibujante...

The art is good but not great, and the story is to short and when they introduce 8 character the tale begin to be a little boring and with no sense, but the writer try to show the similitudes between both teams X-men and Fantastic Four and he triumps. I was expecting more.

Pat Lee should be boycotted for what he did to the men and women who worked for him under Dreamwave. As a fan of the writers and artists who worked hard for that company, I am disgusted that he would leave so many of them unpaid for months on end.
