5.0 out of 5 stars Dracula and Belasco Return!!
Of all the marvel titles I have read, this one is by far the best. Byers really nows how to portray the characters (both homo sapiens and superior). By comparison, "Empire's End" seems dull and flat. I got so into the book, that I found myself mentally cringing when Dracula belittled Amanda (but in the end she gets the last laugh). Storm's scenes with her...

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay, But not the best
I like reading X-Men Books in the past, but reading this one about demons and vampires was a little crazy. I did like the fact that they still openly say that Night Crawler is a Christian. And thats my 2cents.

Byers is a fantastic writer. I plan to check out his other titles.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, July 19, 2000
This review is from: X-Men: Soul Killer (Paperback)
I read the book and thought it was pretty good. I've read better but I've also read alot worse. All in all it was definatly worth reading. The main characters in the book are Nightcrawler, Colosus, Shadow Cat, Rouge, Storm, Cyclops, Pheniox, Wolverine, Dracula, and Belesco. If I left anyone out sorry it's been a while since I read the book. I you like the X-men I would deffinatly read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great book for anyone who loves the X-men., February 27, 1999

I really loved this book. Other than Christopher Golden's X-men novels, this book is the only novel to truly capture the X-men. Throughout the entire novel, I found myself captivated. I highly recommend this novel to all X-men fans.Nikia Johnson

First of all, when I saw that it's the X-men meets Count Dracula I laughed and was exremely skeptical about that mix. But let me tell you, the way Dracula is portrayed in this novel is very impressive. He's charming, witty, intimidating, cunning and powerful! His confidence resonates and clashes nicely with the X-men team. But most of all I want to point out, that Byers is a great storyteller. Most superhero books are just action and characters talking to each other, but Byers incorporates more passion into his storytelling. For example, Byers often "freezes time" and describes in great details what the characters are thinking during a battle, and I really appreciate that, it's so much more interesting than just reading about who attacked who, and what happened. This is a great read, if you like action with great description that won't seem rushed, I wouldn't miss it.

I thought this book was pretty good. I hope the author writes more books. If you like X-Men, Spider Man, or any of the other heros. Also, if you like science fiction books or possibly mystery, you might like this book.

It isn't often that Dracula appears in a book and he isn't the main bad guy. That doesn't mean that he still isn't a threat. This is probably the best prose X-Men novel that I've had the pleasure to read. All the characters behave consistently with their comic appearances. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book, March 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: X-Men: Soul Killer (Paperback)
The book Soul Killer by Christopher Golden is a real masterpiece. It effectively puts all of the X Mens talents to the test in a heart pounding adventure that leaves you wanting more. The only real complaint I had about this book was that the profesor wasn't in it. It has awesome battle scenes that only your mind can picture so clear and perfect, and it keeps its suspense throughout the whole book. It is a real treasure to anyone who enjoys reading X Men stories, and I highly recomend it.
