"X Minus One" was made and recorded in the 1950's and featured stories written by some of the best Science fiction writers of the day.
The show was very well done and most entertaining.
I bought a 1930's replica radio back in 1989 and have used it all these years to listen to old time radio programs.
But ofcourse in recent years the newer radios play CD's.
Mine plays CASSETTES so whenever I can still find these old shows on a cassette I snap them up right away.
Besides I like the sound quality better on cassette tape than on CD.
These radio programs are great for when you are tooling around in your garage or hobby room because you can work on something while you listen to the story.
Old radio was and still is great entertainment.
Give it a try starting with X-Minus One.

Not 'quite' as advertised, November 9, 2006

Great Sci-Fi radio series from the late 50's early 60's. But this CD is not the entire series. Only contains several of the shows (There is almost 45 hrs of X-Minus one programming in total) WOuld have been a lot better if all episodes had been present.

Hopefully the episode "The Green Hills of Earth" is on this cd. I normally listen to old radio shows on the local independent radio station.
