I purchased this about a year ago for my marathon training runs. The water bottle top broke once, but that was due to me dropping the emptied bottle on the road. I replaced the bottle (you can order them separately from Amazon) and immediately dropped it again, and it survived this time. Another time, I fell on it, and once again it survived (I'm kind of brutal and lack grace on my runs). The bottle will take you through a long run as long as it's not too hot. I've had to ration myself on warmer runs that go beyond 3 hours. However, hopefully you can refill at a store if you have any on your route. Basic cloth, thin gloves can be stuffed into the side pocket that is meant for the smaller bottle (I only used that bottle once, during the Pikes Peak marathon to carry Gatorade powder - that was a 9 hour ordeal where I needed the extra powder). Otherwise, it can hold some gel packets easily as well (maybe 2 or 3). The other pocket is ideal for an ID and keys (or a gel packet). The loop on the back can hold a rolled up jacket, but test it before your race starts. You don't want to fool with a falling jacket during the race. I've never had the buckle break like the other reviewer. It's a shame he had that experience.

I bought this for my long runs, and spent $40 at a running store. What drew me to it was the adjustable belt sizing. I thought my husband and I would each be able to use it on our respective runs. Well, the third time it was used, I adjusted the belt and the clip snapped and broke. Not good going into a long run in the heat of summer. After using this belt, I am going to go to the velcro belt. At least that doesn't have any clips that can break.

Ok for walkers

Wonderful product except the bottle

Promising, but both prongs on the buckle broke off during a marathon!
I liked the fact that you can stick a water bottle in this with ease, but at mile 11 the whole buckle broke while I was in the middle of a marathon. Read more
