poor build quality but still fun,

This review is from: X-Treme Scooters Electric Pocket Bike (Sports)
My XP707 arrived packaged in a well built steel cage, virtually eliminating any possibility of shipping damage. While the bike looks beautiful, it should be noted that the plastic brake handle assembly is flimsy, the disk brake disks are slightly off center and wobble, the bottom faring is poorly attached to the frame, and the wheels make odd creeking noises with every revolution (both front and back, I suspect bearing issues, but the bike only has about 20 miles on it).I affixed a cheap Schwinn bicycle speedometer to the XP707 (attached sensor magnate to valve stem cap on front wheel) and carefully measured the wheel circumference to accurately calibrate the unit. I (150 lbs) have never gotten my XP 707 to go faster than 15mph. My 6yo son on his Razor PR200 can easily ditch me as I ride the XP 707. The 20mph claim appears to be very misleading. The XP 707 does have more torque than the Razor PR200 though. While the XP 707's acceleration is nothing to write home about, the Razor PR200 merely slowly accumulates speed if you are patient enough to keep at it (150lb rider). By comparison, the XP 707 can get me up to speed reasonably quick. On the positive side, the XP 707 is small enough to fit in the trunk of my Civic for easy transport to a nearby abandoned parking lot where my son and I set up cones - loads of fun. The XP 707 is much more suitable for a grown-up than the Razor PR200 (bigger with more torque). Unless you come across a good deal, the poor build quality and slow 15mph actual speed make it hard for me to recommend it at full price. 2115|R231PXEFNWIQJD;
