4.0 out of 5 stars good little scooter
I bought this scooter for my daughter, whose friends both had razor 100's. for the price it seemed like a better buy. we paid 140 for it shipped. It really is a solidly built machine. the only disadvantage I see to the razor is that the xtreme has solid rubber tires so it rides rougher although that means no flats. performance has been flawless and we have owned it since...

1.0 out of 5 stars Damaged goods
I would not recommend buying an X-Treme scooter. I bought two, each from a different vendor. One scooter arrived with a broken on/off switch and the drive belt on the second one broke within two weeks. The manufacturer will not replace either scooter and is very slow to send the correct parts.

4.0 out of 5 stars good little scooter, April 3, 2010
I bought this scooter for my daughter, whose friends both had razor 100's. for the price it seemed like a better buy. we paid 140 for it shipped. It really is a solidly built machine. the only disadvantage I see to the razor is that the xtreme has solid rubber tires so it rides rougher although that means no flats. performance has been flawless and we have owned it since feb. it is now the beginning of april and its still running strong. Some advantages over the razor are it weighs 20 lbs which is half the weight of the razor so my daughter can maneuver it around better in the garage. and its quieter because it's belt drive instead of chain drive. funny thats the thing her friends are jealous of, that its quieter. they have basically the same top speed 10 mph +/-. one difference that it has is the throttle twists the whole right grip on the xtreme, unlike the razor which only twists half the right grip. but thats neither here nor there, just a difference.

Because the scooters were Christmas presents for two of my grandsons, I actually bought a Razor scooter to replace the X-Treme scooter that arrived damaged. The Razor scooter arrived in perfect condition and my grandson is very happy with it. We are still waiting for the replacement belt for the second X-treme scooter. Hopefully it will arrive and both grandsons will have a working scooter. In the meantime, I am stuck with an X-treme scooter I neither want nor need.

5.0 out of 5 stars A COOL GRANDMA, AGAIN!, March 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was so proud to see my almost 9 yr old grand daughter Alia quietly sail away on her beautiful X-Treme scooter yesterday (poor granny could not even run and keep up with her). Product reviews are important to me and this product came with some negative feedback. However, never having a problem with Amazon I bought it anyway. I think it deserves 5 stars and here's why. We are a family of girls and we needed something light enough to carry up to the third floor apartment so it doesn't get stolen. The Razor electric was too heavy and her mom said "no." My grand daughter was not getting a new scooter for her birthday. Then I did a light weight electric scooter search and found this product made with an aluminum deck & steel frame that was only 19 pounds. The scooter is so beautiful, it has lots of chrome, the motor makes no sound, it has a cool variable speed throttle, rear brakes, very safety oriented, and it was easy for grandma to assemble, put on the handle bars, screw in the fuse and charge. The only thing it doesn't have is a seat. It was $40 cheaper on Amazon and I got it well packed and delivered free in 4 days. There was nothing wrong with it when I got it. There is nothing wrong with it after charging & riding for two days. The charger has a red/green light on it so you know when it's done charging. Getting the right size scooter was also a big decision. I am glad I got this one. Alia spent 15 months enjoying her Razor Wing. The X-140 is fast enough to make her wear her safety helmet but small enough to keep those dang adults who never grow up away from it. I will upgrade her to the next level scooter in about one year and it will more than likely be this brand. When granny finally caught up to Alia at her 3rd floor apartment the other day, she already had it turned off, folded, and put away in her room. Alia is so happy she gave her baby brother a bath and she usually never goes 2' near him. I think you'd better buy one of these electric kid's scooters now because Spring is almost here. I can easily see a waiting list on a product as great as this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little scooter . . . ., March 27, 2010

I bought this scooter as a present for my son for Christmas. He loves it and drives it all around. It comes mainly pre-assembled with only a few extra things to do like insert the fuse and put the main parts of the scooter together. All in all it took about 15 minutes by myself to put together. The only reason I don't give it five stars is the throttle wiring just broke and I'll need to fix that. To be fair, my son did throw it on the ground and it wrenched the throttle wiring (about the same gauge as speaker wire) so it just snapped. I'll need to use electrical tape to hold it in place so this doesn't happen again. But you just charge it up and the thing goes about 15 mph. just the right speed for my 6-year old. And he hasn't been stuck because the charge ran out too quick. I'll buy a faster model when he gets a little older.

1.0 out of 5 stars X-Treme Scooter an X-Treme pain, April 30, 2010
Received for my son as a gift for Christmas, belt broke on second use. Requested a replacement belt which arrived within a couple of weeks. When it did arrive, thankfully they sent 2 belts, because it wasn't long before the first replacement belt broke as well. Performance of the scooter is fine, if the belts would just quit breaking. Unfortunately, this X-Treme Scooter has been a hassle and I would not recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Electric Scooter, December 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered 3 scooters. Two were good, the third was not operating and I found this out on Xmas eve. So, I had to buy one from a local vendor for quick results. But, the weird thing is the company for the scooters gave me a list of things to check using a voltmeter, luckily I'm trained in using it. It was determned that the Controller and Throttle are bad and here is the great thing, I will have to replace it. Yes, it would cost $40-$50 shipping if I elect to send it back and get a replacement or I can fix myself. I guest there motto is like the Meatloaf song "2 out 3 ain't bad."
