I took a chance that this remote would work with my OLD security alarm system and got lucky. The numbers did NOT match what came with the system but for the price I took a chance, even ordering two. I was very pleased when they worked. They unit is larger than the original but at least I didn't have to buy a new system.Note: I have never had a false alarm from my Radio Shack wireless alarm system in the many years I've used it. I was worried about that when I bought it but have to say, I am very happy with it.
