  • Great for apps usually only found in mobile devices. Independent video and audio output make it easy to hook to home audio. Other device's HDMI-only connection won't let you connect directly to computer speakers
  • It is a full set. View on TV instead of watch on a phone or tablet. No more tablet stand. The picture is bigger and you can do other stuff.
  • Great companion to place-shift (Slingbox) and time-shift (certain cable TV services, future TiVo feature). Use for Netflix, IP camera, video conferencing, baby monitor, surveillance camera, internet streaming websites, or just listen to Youtube audio (such as sleep sound). Use the analog video output as external video card to output video streams to a recording device, such as DVD recorder. Install remote desktop app on this device to view your computer files on a TV or listen to music library stored in your main computer, monitor desktop activities or record to external recorder. Every TV should have this as companion /computer extension

I did my research on Android TV boxes before placing order on this one. Others only come with a remote control. I figured I don’t want to use a mini-keyboard /mouse combo because moves on the touchpad usually are not very smooth and make me feel awkward. I saw this one comes come with a wireless mouse, I have purchased a Realtek 1185 player from this manufacturer before, I knew they have good reputation. I wanted to give this android box a try
To my surprise when I opened the package, the white wireless mouse come with the device is a very nice looking one. It is a ViewSonic! I think the vender is very thoughtful to include the mouse. Other android TV boxes only include a remote controller, you would have to spend another $25 to buy a mini keyboard-mouse combo. In my opinion, a mouse combined with on-screen keyboard is sufficient, no need for a keyboard, because you can just use the mouse to click the letters to enter text.
It is basically an android computer connecting to your TV or computer monitor. I have used the VGA port on my monitor, there is unused HDMI port on my monitor, so I connected this device with the HDMI cable that came with it. Just like other android 4 devices, I can install apps on it. The firmware is quite stable, I installed “Airplay /DLNA Receiver Lite” app on this device and installed “PlayTo Lite” app (both are free) on my Android cell phone to send photos and video clips from my phone to the device. Of course iPhone and iPad will work too.
The remote control is light weight, stylish and feels sturdy. And the buttons are very responsive. I was able to install XBMC with FOX News and CBS Evening News add-ons.

Pros:
- Ships with a free mouse so helps me a lot
- Speed is good with most apps
- Loaded a lot of apps, works fine.

Cons:
- No RGP cable in the Box. Had to buy one.
- Bluetooth range is just 10 Ft
- Gives a wearied error message sometimes, but the error goes away ones you press ok. It is explained in the user manual so I guess I can libe with it.

Used it for a week, till now no regrets.
