Wal*Mart is still cheaper. That sale is gone from Amazon. This deal from Wal*Mart is great because I can just go for a short drive and have it immediately, for five dollars less! Sorry Amazon, not this time.

yes, wal-mart is cheaper still. I got two!

I ordered from Walmart, but would have preferred Amazon. Very lame that they only had it up for a short time. I even checked this morning to see if they had price matched. I guess I missed it last night.

Back down to $35 is not enough for me. I ended up doing the Walmart Site-to-Store (for free) and snagged it for $30, mainly out of spite towards $30 is a GREAT price for 12 months of online gaming! Thanks Wal-mart!!!! ;)

The price here on Amazon has changed between $30 and $40 everyday for the past 2 weeks. Sometimes even in the middle of the day. That is weird.

What do you mean they are matching Wallmarts price? Amazon has it today for nearly $10 more. And the link you provided is also nearly $40 so where is the $30 price?????????????????

Pythagoras says:
The original post was made January 15th. The cards were on sale then, but now they are no longer on sale. $40 is still a good discount from the $50 that MS charges. Anyone who pays $50 for a gold membership either doesn't care, or isn't trying.

Amazon's prices are often such a joke. $101!? Are you kidding me? Yes, I would like to pay twice what it costs through Microsoft, for an 8% longer subscription. Not.

Pythagoras says:
So don't buy that one. Buy the one that is $39.96 or whatever the price is. I don't see why it's a problem. The 12 + 1 cards have been discontinued for quite some time. There are only a few of them, so they put some goofy price on them. Just like when there are no Wii's available, people selling them on Craigslist can charge more money for them. Supply and demand, though in this case no one buys them, so the logic doesn't quite hold. Maybe they are hoping to snag some suckers who will buy them and keep them as collectibles. :-)
