Coolest Christmas Carols, December 21, 2003

It's a shame this UK Jeepster/XFM compilation is out of print (originally a project for charity). What a delightful gem of inspired recordings... I grew up listening to the Carpenter's Christmas record, but THIS is what MY kids will grow up listening to! You may want to listen to this even when it's not Christmas--that's how good the songs are. E-mail Jeepster and demand that they re-release this, or find yourself a used copy...

Its an import, its expensive, its worth it. Definitely a cool, fun Christmas cd. St Etienne is a major highlight; this cd features what I think is their best song and is unavailable (as far as I know) on any other album. The Dandys are always fun to listen to. With Grandaddy, Low, and Drugstore, what Christmas compilation could be cooler?
