Ghost Thermal Technology for Cooler Performance

Through rigorous testing and analysis, XFX discovered the optimal thermal design that allows air to pass through the heatsink directly to the PCB and core components. Older enclosed designs often trapped the heat creating a bottle neck at the exhaust, this can be remedied but at the cost of a higher fan speed which creates excess noise. XFX's fan design allows lower fan speeds while allowing the heat to dissipate evenly throughout the card.

Double Dissipation Fan Design

The Double-D dual-fan design--whether over heat-pipes or HydroCell--offers up to 3x more air flow giving you performance that's up to 13dB quieter and 7 degrees C cooler. The fans directly cool the heatsink, components and PCB, preventing overheated components and PCB that can reduce performance.

DirectX 11 Ready

Achieve ultra-realistic 3D gaming with DirectX 11 technology. Enjoy the best of next-generation gaming in amazing realistic 3D visual graphics. From realistic reflections and shadows can block the reflection of light, as they do in real life, to advanced GPU features such as Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing (MSAA), Shader Model 5.0, DirectCompute 11 and OpenGL 4.2 support, multi-threading, and HDR texture compression.

Multi-Monitor Support

AMD EyeFinity Multi-Display lets you use one powerful card to drive up to 6 displays. Enjoy your gaming and work across multiple displays and in eye-popping real Stereo 3D. Monitors can have independent resolutions and display controls, or you can combine multiple displays to behave like a single screen. Mirror screens for presentations, and improve your productivity when working with larger spreadsheets and documents. The Multi-Display will power up to 3 connected screens by itself. Using four screens and up requires a DisplayPort 1.2 Multi Stream hub (not included).

Multi-Stream Audio

Multi-Stream audio intelligently links sound to video so that the audio is redirected to the appropriate source. This means in multi-screen conference calls, for example, you'll hear the person on the left screen coming out only from the left speaker.

Duratec: Professional Hardware Features

IP5X Dust Free

XFX graphics cards use IP5X-rated fans which offer the highest level of protection against dust and other foreign objects that can reduce the performance of fans overtime. To achieve an IP5X rating, ingress of dust must not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the equipment, offering complete protection against contact.

Solid capacitors deliver up to 40,000 more hours of operation than electrolytic capacitors. They're designed to withstand up to 105 degrees C, and won't explode, offering a high degree of reliability and safety.

This card was my upgrade from an XFX 5670. All I can say is WOW, this card is a huge upgrade. Some people don't like Windows Performance Rating, but I don't mind it, so i'll share the score with you.

My XFX 5670 got a 7.0 for both Aero and Gaming.
This XFX 7770 go a 7.6 for both Aero and Gaming.

0.6 might not sound like a lot, but the performance jump is quite substantial. Do keep in mind that the scoring system maxes out at 7.9 on Windows 7 (10 on Win 8).

Now I want to compare this Graphics Card to my other PC. On my other computer, I bought an EVGA Nvidia GTX 550 Ti (2GB model). First off, the price of that GTX 550 was about $160 when I bought it. Currently the price of this 7770 was $150 when I bought it (probably cheaper now though).

Windows scored the GTX 550 Ti with 7.3
Did I mention that it costed MORE?

Honestly, this whole experience told me that I will probably never buy from Nvidia again. I pay more and I get less performance (the exact reason why my CPU is AMD aswell).

Summarizing everything up, this card works like a dream. Physical installation is easy. Drivers were easy to find and install. Oh, and the price is to die for.

I really suggest anybody in the market for a graphics card to get this. Just make sure your PSU is atleast 500 Watts and you have a six pin connector :)

Runs extremely fast in just about any game I can toss at it, runs extremly cool and quiet because of the dual fan cooling solutions (not to mention it just plain looks cool; brushed aluminum is sexy). Just an overall just a solid performer at a great price, extremly happy with it.

Used this product to upgrade from a 9600GT. Installation was effortless and the performance increase was substantial. The dual fans really helps keep the fan operation much quieter than the previous product. Overall very pleased not to mention it looks much beefier than the 9600GT.

This could be an excellent card going by its specs. It is powerful enough to play all games at decent settings. It beats a Radeon 4870 & below and is just a bit slower than a Radeon 6850. Sure, you will get lower frame rates, but as long as the picture is fluid it really does not matter whether you get 35 or 70 fps. The main draw of this card is its efficiency. When idle, it uses barely any power. Under full load, it still uses less than 150W. Cards in the same performance range typically use twice as much power and tend to turn your computer into a little space heater. With this card, my work space is not only quieter but feels noticeably cooler.

That being said, this is a brand new card (as of early/mid 2012) and has its issues. Until recently, driver support was lacking. I have noticed occasional screen flicker, video driver crashes, and even a BSOD here and there when browsing the web. The card plays games perfectly but sometimes stumbles displaying plain content, such as text or video. Searching for solutions online I found out that the screen flicker is a known issue, although it does not affect everyone. It seems that some computers do not handle the card's aggressive power management properly. Hopefully, XFX will bring a firmware update, like some other vendors have, or perhaps the next driver release will help (Catalyst 12.4 didn't). Until then, buying this card is a bit of a gamble. Note that XFX's tech support is terrible, contrary to their "five-star service" motto. It takes them days to get back to you each time you respond to a ticket, which makes troubleshooting a pain in the rear.

This card rocks. It's been in my system for a while now and every game that I/we play still run great. Maybe we don't have all the eye candy maxed out, but who cares, the game runs fine and is playable.
