The ATI Radeon 5770 gives you stunning next-gen graphics at an affordable price. Fully compatible with DirectX 11, this powerful graphics card can run all of the latest games without any stuttering or slowdown. It is loaded with advanced rendering technologies that make your games look more realistic than ever before. The Radeon 5770 is a graphics powerhouse. With more than one billion transistors, it can muscle through even the most hardware-intensive games. It also uses advanced GDDR5 memory that can keep up with the high-bandwidth demands of today's games. With so much graphic power at its disposal, the card guarantees a smooth, latency-free gaming experience.
The card also boasts superior filtering capabilities. It supports up to 24x multi-sample anti-aliasing that works to smooth out jagged edges and eliminate graphical artifacts. And with up to 16x anisotropic filtering, textures appear sharper than ever.
Most importantly, however, the Radeon 5770 gives you access to DirectX 11 (DX11)--the next generation of PC graphics technology. DX11 unlocks brand new graphical features like tessellation, which allows for greater realism and detail. More and more games rely on DX11, and with the Radeon 5770, you won't be left behind with an inferior graphics card.
The Radeon 5770 also features ATI Eyefinity, a radical new technology that allows you to expand your display across up to three monitors. Using Eyefinity, you can achieve a wide, panorama-like display. Since each monitor preserves its native resolution, you'll be able to link your monitors without a decrease in sharpness.
If you're a gamer, the added visual space gives you a real advantage. Shooter fans will have expanded peripheral vision and will react faster to incoming enemies. Real-time strategists will get a commanding view of the map and will be able to execute strategies more effectively. And flight simulators will feel more immersive than ever, placing you directly in the cockpit.
With the Radeon 5770, you'll be able to enjoy all of your HD media with unparalleled crispness and clarity. The card is equipped with ATI Avivo, a new reference technology that speeds up HD image processing. With Avivo, you can expect flawless, smooth video playback with faster decoding and post-processing than ever. Avivo also enables full HDMI connectivity and support for the latest HD color profiles, so you can watch Blu-ray movies on your computer.
The Radeon 5770 also sports an integrated audio controller that supports HD audio profiles like AC-3, AAC, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD. It features up to 7.1 channel surround audio and delivers a powerful HD audio performance.
Thanks to ATI's industry-leading power design, you'll also enjoy the ultimate in energy efficiency and quietness while using the Radeon 5770. The card utilizes PowerPlay technology, which dynamically adjusts power use depending on how active the card is. This helps the GPU disperse heat more effectively, ensuring that your card runs safely and stably. It also makes the card quieter, so you can hear your games instead of your computer.
PC gaming is more immersive than ever before, but it is also much more hardware intensive. To keep up with the latest benchmarks, one graphics card sometimes isn't enough. Thankfully, the ATI Radeon 5770 supports Crossfire, which allows you to link two graphics cards together for a greatly increased GPU output. This added graphic power eliminates frame-rate hiccups and slowdowns and improves your gaming even more.
The ATI Radeon 5770 PCI-Express Video Card is backed by a three-year warranty.

I also believe that Amazon had the incorrect image for this card when I ordered it. However, the model number was correct and I should have looked closer. It doesn't really matter as it does appear the only difference between the 577X and 577A is the type of cooler installed and no 3x Crossfire support(The 577A does look nicer though). The card installed very easily and I had no issue getting it working under Windows 7. I would make sure you download and use the latest version of drivers from ATI's website and not use the included CD. I upgraded from an Nvidia 8800 GTS and the increase in performance was significant. My Windows 7 Experience score for graphics went from 6.4 to 7.3 and I have been able to play many games at a lot higher settings than on my 8800. It isn't quite as fast as I was hoping, but I didn't want to pay the price for a 5850 or 5870 right now. So for the price I got a big jump in performance and am very happy with my purchase. Would recommend this product if you are looking for a "best bang for your buck" kind of deal versus hard core gaming performance.

This review is from: XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card HD577XZNFC (Personal Computers)
I bought this Radeon 5770 to replace an aging Nvidia 8800GT 512mb. It is much faster in the two games I tried, Left 4 Dead 2 and Mass Effect 2 at 1920x1200 res with full detail. The fan on the single-slot 8800GT was quite loud so the quiet fan on Radeon 5770 was a welcome addition (btw, this is the newer revision "egg-shaped" cooler). My PC dual-purposes as a gaming and HTPC, so HDMI and on-board audio was a must. While ATI's Catalyst Control Center is nowhere near as intuitive as the Nvidia counter-part, I was able to get everything setup how I wanted using a 42" Panasonic Viera plasma tv (hdmi), and a 24" Soyo monitor (dvi). I did find out that I could not plug in a 3rd monitor (2 DVI, 1 HDMI) unless I used the DisplayPort connection. Bummer. DVI to VGA converter and PCI-E to molex power adapter are included. Great bang-for-the-buck card.

Searching for a new video card can be a daunting process, but I didn't need to search any further after finding the XFX HD 5770 PCIe video card.
When looking to upgrade video cards for my wife's Dell, I was limited by the fact that the machine only has a single six-pin video card power plug. Most of the newer and more powerful cards require multiple power connections to run - this 5770 did not. So not only did I get a card that met my power and space requirements, I got a DirectX 11 compatible card with stellar performance. For the money, I am not sure that there is a better card out there - I definitely did not see a comparable card with an nVidia chip that was in this price point with this performance. The bundle with the card is great - XFX has a great reputation in the industry and I have been pleased with their products in the past. Overall, this might be one of the best video card purchases I've made - the last time I was this impressed with a video card was when I got my first 3dfx Voodoo 3 (if you owned one of those, you know what I am talking about!).
