Darn good socks that probably won't need any darning.,

These are my first Tabi socks, which I ordered to go with my new Superfeet FLP sandals. I often wear these socks in walking shoes for my 30 walk to work, then switch to the sandals without the need to remove the socks.
They keep my feet dry, wicking away moisture before I notice it. Without socks, my feet end up sitting in little pools of sweat in the sandals, which is no fun at all. And they look absolutely fetching! They do confuse my coworkers a bit, "You're wearing socks with flip flops!?!?" Then I show them what kind of socks they are and tell them where they came from. Then they become jealous. I've had these since just after the earthquake (they shipped them over without delay right in the middle of the disaster). So far they have not shrunk measurably in the wash and they wear well. There is a large seam around the toes, which you will not notice in the slightest if you wear them properly with sandals. But if you stick them in shoes they might bother a little. Roomy shoes don't cause this problem, so just pick your walking shoes wisely*. I give these socks 5 stars due to their construction, their utility, their excellent appearance, and the fact that I love them as much as my favorite technical running socks! Any flaws are due to my own misuse of them. *Though, you could walk quite a distance in my sandals, but that's for a different review. |
