The Shure XLR Female to Male 1/4" Adapter is simply another one of those fix it gadgets that a sound mixer has to have in his kit.

I've got a bag of them and they work just like they are supposed to.

Now this one as pictured is the mono version, which you would use to take a balanced or unbalanced mic down to an unbalanced 1/4" jack. If you need to keep a balanced feed or if you are running stereo or two channel in a single cable, this adapter will not work for you. You'll need the TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) balanced version of this adapter.

It does what it's supposed to do. Works great. No loss of signal.

Works great, no issues. Bought this to adapt the mike plug to 1/4" jack so the mike can plug into a regular amp for the grandkids to "karaoke" with.

I bought these adapters to keep in the sound "tool box" and they work great. Priced reasonably and arrived quickly. Have used them several times and have had no problems at all.

After being out of the music business for about 20 years, our old band has reunited. We needed some adapters and I was in shock of how expensive they were locally. (...) each. I used to buy them for around (...) twenty years ago. These were very inexpensive. I bought six. These XLR adapters are good quality and I am very happy with my purchase.

Loved every minute of this shopping experience. Easy to order, cheap as sin, and came in next to no time. First off, it's solid. Nice heft to it and you don't think your going to break it going into your cord. Works great, obviously not pro quality. If you're looking for pro quality then you probably have xlr jacks available for you. But it's great for stop gap measure. Works great.

I bought this assuming I would need it with the Peavey Mic/stand as it was shown in the bundle. Turns out the Peavey Mic/stand combo comes with a XLR to 1/4in cable. So you dont need this.
You need the 1/4in female to XLR male converter, or a XLR male/male cable to run XLR with that item.

Just a heads up!

Wish I would read up on this product before I bought it. Good for leaving it place because I don't want to break it from taking off and on the xlr cable.

Useful for connecting mics to a guitar amp or directly into a computer's mic jack. The 1/4" side tends to become a bit loose after a while, not sure if it affects performance though.
