I have been very happy with the Xlink after I updated the firmware and installed a patch intended for LG phones. Suggest you update the firmware before you even use the device. Before the patch I had issues with some connections suffering from "motor boating", or very short dropouts. Also note the support website has changed to [...] brings up a related but different product.
I have found that you cannot have the Xlink in the same general area as a strong source of of 2.4G WiFi (802.11 B and G) such as a router as this seems to cause distortion with Bluetooth connections. I had to separate my Xlink and WiFi router by about 20 feet to cure this problem. I do not think this is an issue with the Xlink alone as I have had other problems with Bluetooth voice connections in the presence of strong WiFi signals, they share the same spectrum...

Works well / no Mac support yet,

The XLink works as advertised. We dropped our land-line, converted it to a stay-at-home cell linked to our home handsets. Plus, our personal cell phones connect when we are home. Ideal home line + cell system, and saves money. Only caveat is that some advanced features depend on downloading a program to make the changes, and it is only available for PC, not Mac. (for now... is a Mac version coming???)

I'm extremely pleased with this unit. Once I received the BTTN I hooked it up to my Computer running Vista and easily updated it. I linked two Motorola Razr V9 phone via blue tooth and connected a VOIP land line from Road Runner to the unit. Even though the connection over the cell sounds a bit different I'm very satisified with the product. We are now considering dropping the VOIP connection to save some cash.

XLink BT does not work well,

I have struggled for several months to get this thing to work...moved things around so the signals would not interfere...updated the software...talked with the cell phone company.
I get lots of dropped calls, poor sound quality, sometimes people just cant call me. I feel like I wasted my money.

Great Concept -- Not Ready For Prime Time,

This is a terrific idea. Like so many others, I purchased the XLINK BTTN in order to reduce my phone bill. Let's face it, cell phones are convenient but are not comfortable to hold -- I prefer old-fashioned wired handsets.
Unfortunately, the device has never worked correctly at my house. I've updated the firmware and tested it with 2 different cell phones and 3 different handsets. On the plus side, setup is pretty easy even though the documentation is skimpy. On the minus side, the sound quality is poor -- the person receiving a call will hear a lot of distortion and some static. Perhaps this is a bad unit. Perhaps the unit is OK, but can't work right in my environment. I don't know which, but I'm tired of fooling with it.

This item does what it says it will. What it doesn't say is that it's an either or setup. If you connect it up so that the cell phone goes to you landline phone you cannot answer the cell phone. You must only use the landline phone to answer you cell calls.
