At first look this seems like a great deal, and it probably would be if the player that was sent to me was actually functioning. I disconnected the headliner of my car and wired this puppy up and it was DOA. If you are installing yourself, imagine how pissed you will be to find out the damn thing doesn't work after you already invested some time into it.

One thing that I will say is that the customer service was helpful and they are in the process of issuing me a refund. I purchased a PYLE 10.4" model and the quality is ten-fold. You can tell that a lot more care went into making the PYLE over this model.

I have read a lot of people saying that the units don't come with IR, but they all have settings that you just have to turn on in the settings menu, so don't be afraid to buy because of that, but be aware of the quality of this machine.

I wrote this to be helpful and I hope that it helps you make a more informed decision. The PYLE was just under $200 and is a WAY better machine!

I purchased this DVD player for my children. When I had it installed the audio output was so weak that I had to purchase a booster, which cost an extra $50. Within a week of being installed a piece came off from around the laser eye of the player, causing the wires to rub along the disc, which stopped the player from working. We were able to get the wires pushed back inside enough to play the movies. But now two weeks later the door for the DVD is broken and will not shut. I have had this for a little over a month, and am now out the cost of the player, $50 for the booster, and $200 to install it. Do yourself a favor, and buy a better model. You get what you pay for. And I got garbage.

I bought this product as a low cost alternative to the higher priced DVD systems. Upon installation, my audio installer showed me the tool marks where the DVD player been installed in another car and taken out. This unit was sold to me as new. The player was missing the AV wires; they were taken completely out of the player. The screws on the back of the unit were stripped out. And to top it off, when we hooked it up to a battery, the unit wouldn't even turn on. My car audio installer said that in 19 years of doing installations, he had never heard of the XO Vision brand. Be careful if you buy this product. Thankfully I bought it from Amazon and their refund policy is second only to Costco.

Do not even consider buying this product. It doesn't belong anywhere but the rubbish barrel. When i rec'd mine straight out of the box, i had it professionaly instlled at a high cost becuase i wanted it done right. It would not power up. Took me weeks to get XO to let me return it to them and have analyzed and then repaired. Took a few more weeks to get it back. I had it installed again and used it once....and surprise, surprise...you guessed it...it will no longer power up. Judging by my experience with XO this was basically now my piece of junk to do with what i please, which is to throw it away.

STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY! Installation wasn't bad due to the fact that I was replacing a dvd player and wiring was already done. Once completed, we used this unit for 20 minutes. When we got back in the car, the player came on, said Loading, then No Disc. I took the disc out and it had a circular burn/scratch on it. Tried a second disk, same thing. I read through what little instruction manual it came with- nothing in the troubleshooting section. I packed it up and sent it back, cursing myself for not staying away from this product as most of the reviews say to do. I just received the same type of unit from PYLE. It is MUCH better and $25 more.

This DVD player is terrible! After spending money to have it professionally installed, it still sounds like crap! It sounds like static all the time and you can brealy hear it! We have to turn the radio up to full blast to get a decent sound...not worth it at all!
