To purchase the headsets from GM are currently around $80 a piece. I just purchased 4 for under that amount total! It does not get much better than that!

I just purchased a used GMC Yukon XL with the integrated DVD (Panasonic) and needed to get headsets and the remote ... these worked without a glitch!

One comment though to keep in mind is that these are single channel IR headsets. For example, my SUV supports two channels, one for the DVD, and one for the radio. Therefore, with a two channel headset, one could swap between the DVD and the radio/CD if one wanted. Due to the fact that these are only single channel, all I get is the DVD. However, my goal was to have the kids watch their DVD while I listen to the radio, so this is all that I needed.

I am not an audiophile, but they sounded fine enough to me. There was no buzz or hiss and felt comfortable enough. Lets put it this way ... the kids do not complain and stay quiet ... that is good enough for me.

(For the remote I got a universal remote at my local retail store for $7.)

You can't beat the price!

I have a 2009 Honda Pilot and 3 kids and the Honda's DVD Entertainment system only comes with 2 headsets. Hondas headsets are about $40-$50 each and since I don't think any headset will last with my kids, I decided to try XO Vision. These headphones work with the DVD system, sound pretty good, fit head sizes both large and small at a fraction of the Honda OEM headset price. I decided to get two pairs as back up or to entertain others. For the price of under $20 you can't go wrong.

We actually bought these from Walmart, but I have resolved to write favorable review so people can get more info on specific products. We have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and the headphones for the DVD system have taken a beating from our children. Recently one of them lost the right ear sound and at first I thought I would try to fix the pair. Not so much, they were impossible to open so I quickly gave up and began my search. The factory sets are more than $50 a pair so I went looking and found these for 10 bucks on walmart. They arrived today and I immediately went out to see if they worked and they did without doing a single thing! Put the batteries in, cranked the car, and away we went! I only ordered one at first, in case we had compatibility issues for some strange reason, but they powered up and worked right away! Can you beat it? No syncing, or matching, nothing required for use. Headphones for 10 bucks? Sound is great, fit is fine, volume fantastic. Don't listen to the people who post negative reviews because they thought they would work with their portable DVD player which doesn't have IR capability. Those people are fools who didn't know what they were buying. You must actually do research to know that these are meant for in-car built in IR DVD systems. I just ordered 3 more sets so anyone in our van can enjoy listening to what's on the player. If anything goes wrong, I will update this review but as far as I am concerned, you can go ahead and get these for Honda systems. Unbelievable that I waited so long before finding these, but I am sold on them and won't be buying anything else. Take the leap and you'll be glad you did! ENJOY!

I bought my 2005 GMC Yukon Denali used, about two months ago. It didn't have the factory head sets with it and after inquiring at the dealer for new ones ($65/each), I said "The kids can listen through the speakers... after all, it is a Bose system... I'm not spending $200 on 3 headsets!". Well, after two short months, I was ready to. I quickly realized a grown man can only take so much of Spongebob's laugh. I started searching for head phones that would be compatible with the video system. Found these and thought for the price I would give them a try. Got them today. Put the batteries in, turned them on, started the DVD, and they worked! No setup. No configuration. They just worked! (why cany other things be like that?)
The sound quality is very good. Which by my kids (ages 4, 7, 10) standards its "freakin awesome, dad!" The construction quality is pretty good but I fully expect them to break at some point. Not because they are flimsy, they are not. But because my kids are that good! They can bend a crowbar in a sandbox and at $16 a pop, daddy can afford a couple extra crowbars.

I just turned them on and they automatically worked with me car dvd player. I like how they fold flat for storage.

They work great for us, purchased three of them for a Rosen system. The IF reader is on the front of the ear piece so if the kids put them on backwards they cut out a lot. And if you stomp on them and hold them under water for 10 minutes, they quit working.

Bought due to price. Lasted less than a month before earpiece broke off and wires snapped inside, rendering them useless. yes, I do have kids that are using these, however, the OEM pair lasted about 4 years of heavy use before they finally kicked the can. Only getting a few weeks out of these was quite disappointing. Guess I'll go back to the better quality (and more expensive) OEM pair.

I can not recommend these for anyone.

I ordered two for use in my 2005 Town and Country minivan to replace factory installed DVD player headphones. Worked great right out of the package, no set up required. The foldable option is wonderful for my 6 year old to put them in the seat pockets before getting out of the van. The sound and quality are pretty good also. I like them better than the factory headphones that came with the van because they are smaller and they fit better in my child's car seat headrest area. They are a Great alternative to ordering the expensive factory replacements.

After YEARS of abuse from the little ones, our 2007 Honda Odyssey headphones had bitten the dust. They actually had been sitting broken in the van for over a year as I couldn't seem to swallow the $50-60 for EACH pair that Honda wanted to replace them (only to see them probably get destroyed again). I then saw these and the reviews. I was planning a 6hr ride to the beach and we were gonna have 4 younger ones in the car. For the price (about $13 at the time I bought them), I figured I could get 4 of them for less than the cost of one new Honda factory one. A much better value and I could stomach that kind of cost. I figured what the heck & what did I really have to lose so I pulled the trigger and got them. The ONLY reason I knocked off a star is I wonder how their long term durability will be since they are priced so low, but only time will tell. Besides, I can still go through 4 of these before I get to the cost of one HONDA pair so this is probably not a big deal anyway. Hell, I probably won't even have the vehicle any longer either so not a factor to really worry about.

Glad I did get them and they have worked GREAT. Linked up right away to our DVD system so no programming was needed. Kids say they are comfortable and are easy to use. The auto-off feature is a must too and these have it (turn off after sensing no sound for a few minutes). They fold up as needed so I can keep all 4 of them stowed away nicely in the seat pockets behind the seats. I am glad I got these instead of the Honda ones (which most likely would get abused & damaged soon after again anyway). If these get "abused", its simply another $13. MUCH better value.

*** UPDATE (8/19/13)

I got these back in July 2013 & that is when they were about $13 each, but I now see how they are about $23 each instead. Still seems like a MUCH better value & can get 2-3 for the same cost as the HONDA factory ones ($50-60).

*** UPDATE (9/18/13)

After having for a few months, these things are STILL cranking away and lasting good. They did awesome on our beach trip and several other longer trips after that. Definitely

glad I got them.

These work great, fold up nicely, and sound decent. And really, the kids are the ones who are going to use them and how much do they know about sound quality?? The price is awesome and if they break or get lost it's no skin off my teeth! I highly recommend these!
