I used these on speakers replacing stock door speakers for my car.
The stock speakers needed to be replaced because of water damage. As with most stock speakers they were weak, and I wish I had replaced them a few years ago. They definately will keep them dry, and they pretty much eliminated any unwanted noise from the doors (window rattling when the windows were open). My 6 year old daughter thought they made a cute hat for the dog and cat. The dog and cat thought they made excellent toys. Yes folks, they are very durable. Dog spit washed right off, and the cat couldn't get a good grip to do any damage. A ferret would have destroyed them in seconds as a ferret can destroy anything in seconds. Which is why we don't have a ferret anymore.

I used foam baffles for both the 6.5" and 6"x8" speakers. The door baffles helped with weather protection, fit and vibration. The 1986 F150 truck doors are very flexable and tend to oil can. The foam baffles should also help in keeping the screws used to installed the speakers from backing out. There are no factory locations for rear speakers so modifications to the rear cab were made and the foam baffles help take up some of the space between the speaker and body.

These baffles are a must have for in-car installation. They protect your speakers from decay and focus the sound out where you want it.

These do exactly what they claim. Put mines in a old 98 chevy van that has rusted doors that retain water after it rains. These baffles allowed me to upgrade the speakers now and waterproofs them. They even made my Kenwoods sound a little better too.

I bought these to protect my door speakers from water damage. Some water does get into my door via the window. When I replaced my speakers I noticed a few drops in there. These worked great and I didn't notice any distortion in sound. They are flxible, thick, sturdy and I could cut them to fit easily. You simply place this in the openening for your speaker and then place the speaker in the baffle and screw down. I had to trim the edges a bit with a pair of scissors. The only downside is that my crossovers did not fit inside the baffle and they had to be waterproofed differently.

Doesnt really make all that much difference from what I've noticed. Took them out and didn't see a big change.

Absolutely worthless! The only way these would be a workable product is if the depth was custom made for a product. These were several inches too deep for my door so the back end was several inches past the window. I tried trimming it by cutting a few inches from the front and attempting to fold cut flaps back for scews but it was completely unworkable. I ended up throwing them away. DO NOT waste your money.
