You get what you pay for. If a cheap scope was "every bit as good" as an expensive scope, simply put there wouldn't be expensive scopes, period. Said that, this is a very solid performer. For this price range is hard to beat. Well made, sharp and bright red dot, comes with covers and has performed very well so far. Only time will tell how robust and durable it is. Uses a CR2032 battery that is not as cheap and readily available as, say, AA batteries, but not far either. I would recommend this to anyone short of heavy abusers of equipment. This is not as solidly built as a Trijicon (my personal favorite) or an Aimpoint (close second) but for 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost (if not even less) it is excellent value.

Dollar per dollar this scope is almost impossible to beat, it works as advertised and is several steps ahead of the rest of the pack in this price range. Yes the round red dot may not be absolutely perfect but if this small, tiny imperfection gets in your way of shooting then maybe its time to take up a new sport.

Bright, adjustable, looks good and feels good plus the optic was brighter and better at gathering light than I expected.

The Burris Speed Dot 135/XTS-135 Scope is a great buy if you're looking for a good scope, at a great price. The site picture is clear and the red dot stays perfect with no blurryness. The mounts can be a little costly (sold separate), depending on what quality you're looking for. The water proof and anti-fog are good features. Overall I've been happy with my purchase, and it holds well on my high power rifle.

I was worried this scope wasn't "expensive" enough. Now I have tried it, I have no regrets. I took it to the range in bright sunlight and sighted it in quickly. It is extremely quick to acquire the target and works flawlessly. I was smacking 8 inch iron targets rapidly at 100 yards. the night performance is excellent and the range of intensity of the red dot is excellent. Don't get too fixated over the dot shape at close range, at 20 yards or more it crisps up nicely. I would definitely recommend this scope to anyone.

I wanted an Aimpoint red dot sight for my AR-15 but I didn't want to have to pay virtually what I paid for the entire assault rifle itself just for one of the attachments.
I'd read some great reviews on the Burris XTS-135 and they were not wrong.

I've fired hundreds, if not thousands of rounds through my AR-15 with this mounted and it has never lost its zero. It's perfectly visible, especially with 11 brightness settings, the dust covers are very sturdy and flip/close very easily.

I recently purchased the Burris XTS-135 as a budget friendly red dot for my Daniel Defense M4. I would say that for the price of the optic it is very good quality and has held its zero with no problems. I also bought the Burris 1" mounts and they line up perfectly with the front sight. I am pleased enough with this red dot that I am going to buy the Burris Trippler to go along...Shipping was great from Knifeco, will do business with them again. Overall, you will be satisfied with this, and the hundreds of dollars you save over Aimpoint or Eotech will put that Trippler on your gun too...

I have been looking for a good red dot sight with out paying allot of money. I ran across this Burris Speed Dot XTS-135 and let me tell you I went to the gun range this past saturday and sighted in my new RRA Ar-15. I first sighted in my Ghost Irons and then mounted my Burris XTS-135 on top my flat rail with a Burris medium mount. I took my first shot after mounting it and hit dead bulls-eye. I proceeded to shot 120 that day with less than 1"-2" groups @ 100 yards. Overall I am very impressed with this scope. Very well built and sturdy. There have been allot of reviews on the dot looking like grape clusters. Mine was crisp and precise dot at every setting. I never made an adjustment on this scope. I'm definitely a Burris Fan. If you are looking for a good Speed Dot for your AR, this is your scope.

Not so good. Optics are blurry and the dot looks like a fireworks display or a bunch of grapes. Sent it back.
