5.0 out of 5 stars Great, but could do without the second CD
Finally, a soundtrack that actually has songs from the movie on it. If they moved the song "Lick" from the second CD to the first one, they could have eliminated the second CD-or I could have used it as a Frisbee or coaster. However, the first CD is OUTSTANDING! Great music to listen to on the GA-400 (the freeway for you non-Atlanta folk) in rush hour traffic-be...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite XXX
First off, does anyone actually review cd's based on the cd anymore, or are amazon reviews a simply location debate the song in the trailer? Concerning the cd, the first disc has all the good music. Rammstein rocks through "Feuer Frei" and the Drowing Pool remix is in some ways better than the original. As for Hatebreed, well, I think you have to be a fan of the band...

5.0 out of 5 stars Song In Trailer, August 28, 2002

This is a great soundtrack yet it's a shame they did not include the trailer song on the soundtrack. For those looking for this song it is "Somewhere Out There" by Our Lady Peace.

As for Hatebreed, well, I think you have to be a fan of the band to appreciate the song. Queens of the Stone Age sound nothing like their single "No one Knows" and the Moby song is boring. The rest of the tracks, (including disc two) are dreary and forgetable, minus Fermin 4. Even if you're not a rap fan, chances are you'll like the blend of spanish hip hop and electronica. It's a tight song, put into good effect in the movie. Now if you are a fan of rap, then you'll probably dig the second disc, with artists like Nelly and P. Diddy. As for me, that second disc went from the case to the trash. None of the songs are really any good. I don't know why they included a second cd with music from a completly different genre than the first. I don't even think many of the songs from the second cd are in the movie, except for Joi's "Lick".
Anyway, if you liked the music from the movie, then you can buy it for the first cd. But you'd probably be better off checking out the albums from the artists themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff., May 21, 2003
This review is from: XXX (Audio CD)
With a mix of great mix of music, of different genre's, different tempo's and different styles, it is hard not to be pleased by this soundtrack.

The Album, for example, features Rammstein's Euro-Rock style in Pole Position, completmented by a brilliant Re-mix of Drowning Pool's all conquering "Bodies" that has seen the light of the WWF and numerous other film soundtracks such as Jet Li's "The One". You also have the main theme tune, "Adrenaline" which is featured on the xXx DVD, and the great "Technologique Park" by legendary Orbital among others. Metal, Punk, Rock, and Chillout all follow, and thats just CD1.

The second CD has some great Urban Rap and Hip Hop, and even if it isnt to your own taste, they stand alone as great tracks in their own right. With names including Nelly, N.E.R.D, and Joi, you will most likely forgot you didnt like this style of music.

I cant fault this album, and the movie was Ace too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A soundtrack worthy of it's movie, September 13, 2002
This review is from: XXX (Audio CD)
First of all I loved the movie. I went to see it three times and am not finished. When my friend bought the soundtrack of coarse I was right over there to listen to it. Now being a person that loves rock, but is not that intersted in rap, I thought the first CD was one of the, if not the, best soundtrack. The second CD, although it was not my type of music was worth listening to. I found myself in each scene in the movie as the songs played which made it more enjoyable. I recemend this CD to anyone who enjoyed the movie. I would say to anyone that this is the best soundtrack of the year, weather your interest is rock or rap, it doesn't get any better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!, August 31, 2002
This review is from: XXX (Audio CD)
I wasn't sure about buying this CD because I'm not really a fan of either techo or rap but I loved the movie so much that I decided to give it a try. To my surprise I REALLY like all of the songs! The really nice thing about this CD is that it's like getting 2 CD's in one. If you're in a rock mood listen to disc one if you want something a little more mellow listen to disc 2. Great variety! Over all this is one of the better CDs I have bought recently.

5.0 out of 5 stars An explosive soundtrack that sparks and explosive movie!, August 12, 2002

First of all, they couldn't have picked a better band to kick things off in the movie and on the Disc!!! Rammstein makes an appearance on the soundtrack, and in the movie! How sweet is that. Now, I, personally do not own the soundtrack yet, but have heard all the songs off of it, and if there is any thought of purchasing it since seeing the movie, remember these words...GO OUT AND BUY IT!!! You will not have to worry about this soundtrack only having a few good songs, since the first disc is completely hard...and full of intense music. Yet the second disc is full of cutting edge tracks by all the current top Rap artists. So if you read this review, rate the soundtrack a 5, and go out and pick up a copy for yourself, because I know I will!!!
