If you need sharp precision type blade, this Xacto is for you. Makes quick work of paper, cuticles, taking sticky stuff off glass. Industry standard.

I wish this came with a safety cap. I wouldn't mind purchasing a safety cap separate, but when when I wrote Xacto about this request, they said they no longer offer the safety caps separately, the safety caps can only be purchased in combination with select knives. Well, if I purchase a separate knife, and it comes with a safety cap, this knife still has no safety cap. You can't buy a knife with 2 safety caps.
Functionally, this knife is a 5-star, but the safety risk of storage is completely unacceptable and deserves a zero-star if I could. At my manufacturing company, if our products were anywhere near this dangerous for our customers to store, the quality department would shut down production until resolved and people would be fired.
Yes, I should have purchased one of the knives that comes with a safety cap if I wanted one, but the fact that I can not buy a safety cap after the fact is what pushed me to give this the lowest possible rating. I wouldn't mind if I had to buy 30 safety caps at once because singular safety cap sales are economically inefficient - I want safety and Xacto won't provide it.

This has worked for me over and over. If I was to do it again I would get a case since it is so sharp I never know where to store it.
