This is an excellent tool for doing small jobs such as cutting a dowel rod or triming soft woods such as pine.

I am making duilcimers and needed something to cut the slots for the frets. The razor saw worked great. Just what I needed.

It's an Xacto. Little more needs said. I bought it to replace one I bought in 1975 (and still have) I just can't get new blades for the old one any more. This saw, along with the original, occupies a space in my tool rack along with a couple of other "fancy" backsaws, but I reach for the 'little' Xacto more often than not when I need to cut or trim something.

I've used these before for working on small, lightweight objects, which is why I ordered this one. My latest use is to cut pieces of bone used for things like saddles for guitars, and it accomplishes this just fine. The bone is pretty hard, but that's not a problem.

I needed a very fine saw to cut printed circuits and that's exactly what I got! The handle seems sturdy enough, at least for my purpose.

Arived on time in retail package. The plastic was not fused together so you slide the backing out , love this packaging. It is a beneficial novelty other gurus should implement. The blades have 40 TPI and 42 TPI making them " fine" knife. I use it to make Marquette and inlays with exotic hardwoods. The wood is 1/42" thick without any backing a fine sharp blade cuts without leaving splinters, or chafe. One splinter and the piece is unusable. Smooth cuts on hardwood every time and accurate. The blade only cuts when pulling it and dosnt cut when pushing as designed. The bade has a reinforced spine so the thin blade resists bending and bowing - partly due to the pull cut. So all that is impressive but if you know marquet an 1/8" short cut and its a do over same with inla because it's repetitive the short cut miss cut turns into the grand Cannon. I did call customer service to verify the pull cut but " didn't have needed inuformatiin.". The Internet poodle fetched the answer. The best for last is the handle holds the blade wiggeling free-very important fo precise cutting. The bades chage out quickly. The price could be higher and the customer service needs training, however I will by more as they dull from the same retailer and same brand name .

I like these saws. The handle is secure. The blades change out easily though for the money I'd almost recommend just getting another handle and leaving them set up as two saws.

Blades cut smooth and amazingly fast. So far they've held up well.

I bought this saw to do some fine cutting a while back. It is at best a so so saw. Very poorly and cheaply constructed and I cannot get the smaller of th etwo blades to fit snugly at all. The larger blade seems to work ok except it comes loose after a few uses and have to be refitted back. The small blade is almost useless in my opinion.
After a few months of use, the handle is coming apart with use and have to be hammered back in place.
Overall very poorly and cheaply constructed saw with less than desirable quality.
The saw as such is ok when it works and does ok job on the cutting but it is a very below average product for the money.

Since this purchase, I have bought two other similar saws to do what I want to do and they both are much better products (The Shark dovetail saw and Irwin dovetail saw).

Would I recommend this product? No. Avoid spending money on this product if you can. Spend the money on a better constructed saw like the Irwin one or the Shark one. This product is a doozie overall. I usually give products a fair amount of time if it does not work for me initially to find out how good they can get but unfortunately this one has just gotten worse over time. Poor blade fit and cheaply constructed handle that comes apart does not cut it for me.

Edit (Sep 4, 2014): To further update on this product, it has been a year since I bought this and this product has fallen to pieces 5 months ago. The blades never attach properly (right from the start) and the handle just came off 5 months ago making this product completely unusable and hence useless.

This is easily the worst product I have bought on Amazon.

I have since bough 3 other similar saws all of which work well.
